It's really cruddy when you're waiting and waiting to hear back about a job, and you finally call them back and they tell you they hired someone else. :D

That happened to me last month. I was hoping to get a state field organizer position for the 2004 election with a nifty political action committee. I was really bummed when I finally contacted them weeks after my interview and they said, "Woops, sorry we forgot to contact you. We hired someone else. Good luck in future endeavors."

Please don't let that happen to me.
