Selling some domains to cover medical bills

Hey all ... had a bit of a scare last week and was in the hospital for 2 days while I underwent a shitload of tests to see if I was having another heart attack or had a stroke. All is good, but of course Medicare isn't going to pay a full 100% of the bill so I'm looking to start selling off some domains.

The ads are, or will be, listed in the GWW Buy and Sell area, and I'd appreciate it if you guys would give them some serious consideration.

Hi Bec,

Good to hear that you're okay. The domains you're offering are very good and I see potential for development. Unfortunately business isn't good enough to justify such an investment for me, even though I think the money you're asking for is very reasonable. Good luck with the sales!

Thanks guys ... yes, I'm ok as they said all of the tests came out good. Usually takes a good 16 hours or better to see if you're having a heart attack from the blood tests. I've also developed a hemi-facial spasm over the last year or so, and they wanted to see if it was a result of a possible stroke.

That also is a negative, but I do need to see a neurology specialist for it to see if it can be controlled with drugs or surgery. Right now it's pure hell to see out of my left eye with it jerking my face, which affects my time on the computer and I have to be driven places now as I don't trust myself behind the wheel... Which affects my independent pride! LOL

I barely passed My Driver's Eye exam test , I won't be fortunate enough to do that again in another 4 years ... I hear You on "Independent Pride"

what's going to "Bite" most of us is exactly "what kind of Medical/Dental/Life Insurance" do we really have , I had an incident where I fell off a Ladder and gashed My Arm so I went to the emergency room of the Hospital and they told Me I had to "Check In" because My Insurance doesn't cover "Emergency Room" ... I almost thought I was going to pass out filling out all the paperwork! - LOL

may I suggest for your medical recovery program you spend 3 to 4 weeks here in Hawaii laying under palm trees sipping on ice cold LAVA FLOWS and MAI TAI's ... your face may still jerk but that will be from watching 1/2 naked People getting in and out of the water! - LOL

Now that looks absolutely wonderful! I'll have to sell a few more domains though to cover the cost of flying there and getting a hotel room, meals etc.

Is that picture taken near where you live?

You just have to get here I have 2 Guest Rooms , the picture is actually where I sit in WAIKIKI ... I'm surprised the grass isn't dead with as many MAI TAI's and LAVA FLOWS I've spilled on it! - LOL

I wouldn't worry about meals , LAVA FLOWS and MAI TAI's are so heavily ladened with Pineapple and Coconut you'll barely have room for the Macadamia Nut breaded Fish Filet's or the Coconut Shrimp appetizers , think of it as a Tropical Diet! - LOL

Oh my that does sound like a little bit of heaven! I'd have to go for tall glasses of Iced Tea though, as I don't drink hard liquor ... messes with my meds.

gosh I don't think there is anything cheap left in WAIKIKI - LOL

I wouldn't suggest now with the weather just warming up and the rains disappearing ... though that really doesn't make much of a difference perched on a bar stool at HULA's overlooking the Beach Park with the hunky 1/2 naked surfers carrying their surfboards back and forth on the sidewalks below. :)

you'll have to let me know when you plan on coming and how many are in your party ... I'll make sure HULA's is well stocked with ICE and PINEAPPLE wedges! - LOL

Hey Bec...Glad to hear everythings okay.

My mom recieves Medicare too and even though she is married with a spouse that works, she was able to get extra help through the Medicare program (in-addition to her regular Medicare parts A/B) . Also, I don't know if your state has a Medicaid program, but they also provide a "Share of Cost" program. Hope this info can help.

Hi Jay... Yes, I can check into the Medicaid, which will probably pick up a good chunk of what Medicare doesn't cover (which at the moment what they say I'll owe is over $1,200 and that's without the individual doctor bills). I'll have to pay a deductible on the Medicare and a spenddown amount on the Medicaid, so that's still 5-600 out of pocket that I don't have lying around. Plus I am having to come up with more $$ to cover my partner's recent eye surgery for her cataract, and she has another one in about two weeks, and we'll be in the same situation regarding the Medicare/Medicaid.

What gets me is that the government gives each of us on SSI Disability about 70 dollars a year ABOVE the poverty level amount which disqualifies using some of the assistance programs. Now tell me THAT is just a coincidence!

It's all good though ... we're doing good and still breathin' ... I figure it's a good day!
