The "I" in the message didn't sign his/her name, but I think "he" was the founder, and remains active in the industry after operations moved to Canada.



Dear Anywhere.XXX Fan,

On Monday, David Cameron announced government plans for a household "porn filter" that would, unless switched off, block access to adult material and other content that the government considers unacceptable. They say this is to "protect children", but parents already have perfectly good tools to control access to sites on their kids' computers.

In reality, this is Britain's first step towards Internet censorship, and it would make the British Internet more restricted than that in any other democratic country. Britain is already the most censored nation in the EU - now it's set to get even more so. This isn't really about porn - that's just the excuse for the government to get their claws into Internet free speech.

I recently founded the Sex & Censorship campaign to oppose further censorship in any form. You may have heard me on BBC Radio stations or seen me on Sky News last Monday. The fight has only just begun, and I'd like to ask for your support by doing one or more of the following:
