What would be your recommendation for a template script for a website that hosts an annual film festival?
Besides the obvious tab or tabs to promote the daily movies, tabs for promotion of the organization throughout the year.

What would be your recommendation for a template script for a website that hosts an annual film festival?

Ok, template and script are two different things to me. A script would be the CMS such as Wordpress. Template would be the theme used to style the site.
If they are doing daily movies, then I'd recommend Wordpress as it's the easiest method for non-designer savy folks to have their site online, and be able to maintain/update it with a little coaching and links to youtube for some beginner "how to blog" tutorials. For the annual affair, a "page" (or pages if several are needed) could be created using full html coding etc for the layout.
Are they actually showing any video clips or just a "cover shot" and some commentary? You really need to get more information and perhaps a link or two for some sites they've seen and like to get a really good idea of what they want as the end result.
