Off to a bad start.. .please advise.

In the ebony niche, I re-worked my site and within a few weeks I was at the top of the niche with solid and VERY productive traffic. Still am in fact.

I then launched a sub-niche and fed it with my overflow traffic into an "ethnic" site. And it too is doing very well the traffic is very productive, and the trades a re very strong.

When it comes to Gay. I followed the same path, and the site had a semi-strong launch then has all but died.
It reached 2K a day in about 10 days and has dropped now to below 500.

I don't understand. What am I doing wrong? Some guys (and I feel bad about this,) like SuckArican, sent in like 2000 hits in about a day and I couldn't return. That trade is now totally dead.

I think in theory when someone sends too many (and again, it's no fault of his) when someone sends in too much traffic and totally dominates your site. The script kicks in and returns everything to this "good traffic" source and in turn chokes off the other trades. That's the only thing I can think that happened other than the fact that people just don't like my site.


So is there anyone out there willing to give some constructive feedback? I'm big boy and I can handle any type of comments.

Take a look at Cum Soda http://www.cumsoda.com I dont trade traffic with anyone, currently i have a 60-70% bookmark traffic ratio.

Thats nothing special by any means until you take into account the site has only been online for the last 3-4 months but again, going back to your site, in all honesty, it needs to 'look' different.

There is nothing special about your site that a gay surfer couldnt find at 100+ other TGP's make the layout different, throw up some new galleries for sites that arent over exposed put your trades towards the top of the TGP.

That is what i would do to change things at least, oh and one other thing, His First Huge Cock is used EVERYWHERE change that out for a different site or even create some of your own galleries and feed those in instead of the hosted galls from Topbucks, TopBucks converts like crazy but everyone and their boyfriend uses the same galleries from the same sponsors.

If you are using trades traffic in return, link the 'click here for more gay porn' to one of your trades $0.02

Oh and lose the warning page, IMHO it does nothing for you.

Ok... my take. I'm in agreement with Lee about the sponsor galleries. Not that you should switch sponsors but you have VERY little variety going on up there. I clicked on 4 thumbs randomly, and each was the same gallery for TopBucks' His First Huge Cock. And as you're opening them in a new window, I had all four galleries staring at me. Making it VERY obvious that something is amiss. I KNOW they have different gallery styles and pics. Mix them up a bit more.

I clicked each thumb in the top section... I see thetwink.com which looks like it's possibly a trade. Cool! Don't get more like these in there. You need to find a solid line of submitters. Once you can nail down submission traffic... THEN begin trading with other sites. In most cases, if you decide to trade with Joe Schmo and add a banner at the top for traffic to go to Joe's site... you would basically be send a lot of Joe's traffic back to him off of the banner. That doesn't look good to a lot of traders. If I send you 2000 hits and I got 1500 of my own surfers back at me I wouldn't be happy.

As for submissions. I don't see any. All I see are sponsor galleries. I wouldn't click the link at the bottom to submit, because to me it looks like I won't get a dang thing for my gallery. I may be wrong but does the site have any gallery submissions? If so, I don't see them (And I'm clicking around ). I've been clicking and clicking and all I get are sponsors. Where's the traffic coming from?

Ok we all need sponsors... but one thing I recommend you change is the opening the links in a new window. If you're sending a surfer over to a sponsor, be it a hosted gallery or a tour. LEAVE THEM THERE. Don't open a new window. Firstly, as I mentioned before I found four of the identical galleries in four clicks. Secondly, I would want that surfer to see as much as the sponsor offers. Most of the sponsors you have in there pay on their console ads and exits. Let them work the traffic for you for now. And I do mean for now. Maximize the traffic your ARE getting. I REALLY think you're doing yourself a mischief by opening that extra window. Once you're getting 10K hits a day THEN do what you want LOL

That what I can see at the moment. I think your moving in the right direction, but there is nothing I can see that would garner a bookmark or a trade worth making, at the moment.

PLEASE do not take this as a criticism. But a nudge in the right direction.

Gary, I thank you and Bell, and Lee, Thank you all. This is exactly what I need. When it comes to Ebony. I know it in and out. As an editor, I edit several of the movies for the ebony paysite owners. LOL. When it comes to ebony, I get it!. :)

As for submitters, and straying from the hosted galleries. Do you guys have any you could lend until I get some? I've loaned before, but I don't know how this niche works so I figured I'd ask. ;)

I must agree with the comments posted so far. But since it is my business to research these things such as marketting and so forth, I actually navigated a few of your offerings. Most seemed to go to hosted galleries of Top Bucks and other sponsors (like mentioned). Again nothing special.

However many of your images are what I term as deceptive blind links. I click on a image expecting a gallery of that individual and I arrive at some other TGP type page. I continued and clicked a few more links. Well the end result is that I got numerous exit popups and attempts to download some activex dlls and other malicious coding to my computer. Luckily I had my custom created internet monitoring program running and was able to defeat all the malicious coding. However I had to disconnect from the net - stop all current browser instances to stop the popups. I am currently scanning my system for what YOU DID or might have DONE to my computer.

Guy -- this shit absolutely SUCKS!!!!!!! Shame on you!!!!!

Don't accept trades with any toolbar downloads. The fuckwit running it gets a dime and people have to reformat at times.

I agree with everyone else -- find better sponsors. There are so many out there that are not overpromoted.

is GayMitch supposed to be an ebony tgp? 'cause almost no thumbs at are black. also the name doesn't really say black to me - your straight tgps have more ebony oriented names.

anyone arriving at this site expecting ebony guys is going to be pretty disappointed at the gate. this is just my opinion, but if you're trying to appeal to that niche of surfers, you need to drop all the white guys and asian guys and concentrate on what the site is about.

no argument from me about sponsor galleries - you need more sponsors and better ones. there are plenty of gay ebony sponsors out there, btw, so why not offer lots of variety and no more white guys?

Studpuppy. If you get to know me you know that I would NEVER do anything to fuck with your system. And in fact I felt really bad about it so I exported my entire database, and did a search for that gallery that you referenced and didn't find it, or ANY gallery on that domain. Sorry. I don't know where you got that attack but it didn't come from me.

Also, in reference to your blind link comments. Please educate me. Every TGP I've been to trades traffic on the thumbs. But maybe it doesn't work that way in the gay niche, please advise.

basschick, no it's not an ebony site. It's a regular gay tgp. I was saying that I run an ebony site, (read the whole thread, I posted those URL's) Thanks for the reply though. Again, all feedback helps. :)

after reading all this, i went to cloland.com to see if that site blind links. they've been sending my galleries a lot of hits. it took me 4 gallery clicks to see a tgp.

so i went to two others that send good hits - one seems to have no blind links and the other seems to also have skim set very low. a few they do have a few common sponsor galleries, but not too many.

why not go to your larger trades, click a few times and see how high their skim is?
