I was wondering if you guys could help me. I have a person emailing me saying the banners aren't showing up on our site. He said he checked the site four different times on a MAC and PC and the banners didn't show up on either. I have checked the site and can't find any problems. Can you guys please check it and let me know if you see any broken banner images. Our url is http://www.maledirectory.com. Thanks a bunch.

I didn't find any missing images either. I am curious about 2 things though:
1. How are you getting away with showing Amazon books on a porn site for sale? Didn't think they allowed that.
2. Why would you deny a site listing if they use sponsor content? There are MANY sites out there that you definately can't use purchased content to represent, not to mention that a lot of newbies can't afford to even consider purchasing content from the get-go. I am also of the belief of not "tricking" the consumer ... often they sign up because they like a model they saw at a free site/gallery ... only to find out that model isn't actually part of that site, resulting in chargebacks and a pissed off customer. Just curious about your reasons.
Perhaps the person is using Norton Internet Security 2004. From what I've read at their site and heard from other people, their ad blocking feature is turned on by default.
Norton's ad blocker blocks text ads, (this includes programs such as Google AdSense), banner ads, Flash ads, popups and popunders.
We have been using them for over five years and they never said it was a problem. Although we have been considering not using them any more because in five years I think we have made a total of $50 from them. We have just been leaving the book page up for more of a resource for our visitors.Quote:

The reason we started denying most sponsor content is because every day we were getting submission that contained the exact same content over and over again. I didn't want to start restricting these submission but really had no choice. I also notice a lot of other gay link lists are now doing the same thing. HunkHunters for one just started limiting sites that contain sponsor content.Quote:

Thank for all of your help. I was kindof guessing that the broken image problem was on his side but needing some other people to check out the problem. I will contact him and see if he is using a firewall or anything like that.
