Genetically modified cats for sale

CNN) -- A California biotechnology company has started taking orders for a hypoallergenic cat for pet lovers prone to allergies.

The genetically engineered feline, which is expected to be available from 2007, is the first in a planned series of lifestyle pets, Los Angeles-based Allerca said in a press release.

Allerca hopes to attract customers among the millions of people worldwide who suffer from cat allergies.

Up to 10 percent of the U.S. population alone are believed to be prone to symptoms that can affect the eyes, nose, ears, throat, lungs and skin.

Try going any amount of time without feeding them, mine practicly screams his head off at me. He has definate, seperate meows for "leave me alone", "pay attention to me", "feed me", "where are you?", "where have you been??" etc lol

I'm extremely allergic to him but I definately wouldn't ever trade him in for a mutant.

I'd LOVE to have a cat again, only my partner has terrible allergies...there's no way he'd even allow one in the house (unless it was in real trouble and then only untill we found it a another home)

They've been genetically screwing with dogs for centuries.
It's how we have so many different breeds now...types of fur, facial structure, body structure, length of legs...etc...

Depending on "how" they're doing it...I'd say I'm on the fence about it.

I do like the fact they'd be selling them already being spayed and neautered though.

I do not condone cloning though....that freaks me out a little bit

i'm gonna hold out for a monkey with 4 asses....or maybe one day we'll be able to cross-breed a piece of bread with cheese and a beard.

i think i'll wait for a hypoallergenic twink that doesnt age or need to shave
