Just wanted to find out what you folks thought about the colors inside a sites members area and specifically, should the colors you use for the members area of a site be the same (or similar) to those colors used on a sites tour?
Also, what is a good period of time before 'changing' the colors in the members area to test their effectiveness?

having a member area that matches the tour makes sense, and usually works well.
i think testing is more a matter of how many members have seen the member area rather than a period of time.
Think I'd use similar colors, a major variance could be a bit of a shock with say a light blue and white tour and then a black and red members area. The member area should fit the overall "theme" of the site. So long as the member area is clear, has good navigation ... why mess with the colors? Unless it's shocking neon pink or green (or link blue ... sorry Luke, couldn't resist) :high:
