Anyone Here Got Xbox Live?

If so how do like it?

We're looking at getting a wireless connection for our Xbox so we can play the 'Live' enabled gaming features but arent to sure about what additional equipment is needed specifically, do we need to use the Xbox Live wireless adapter or, can we use any type of wireless adapter with an ethernet connection on it?

Also, are the things like the headset / voice controllers needed to play the Live games or is that more for talking to other players on the Live network?

We were actually looking at this last weekend. I think you all you need is an wireless adapter with an ethernet connection on it. We did not get that part hooked up - only the TiVo.


And no - you do not need the headset - that is only to talk to the other people

The only thing that sucks with xbox live is that you cant use a modded xbox with it. There are other services that will allow you to play other people on line with a modded console. With a mod, you can also stream media using xbox-to-tivo(or vice versa). Who knew a stupid gaming console could be so much fun?
