Hunter S. Thompson dead

i was totally stunned to read this news. i read fear and loathing when it came out, and i was young. i can't say it changed my life, but it certainly changed my perspective a little.

his political and social commentary was shocking, crazy, abrasive, and seemed almost like free-association. within his writing, and to a great degree his life, he didn't even pretend to be mainstream. his work will be missed.

Hunter S. Thompson - RIP

I heard today .. third hand - Mister Thompson shot himself after calling his son and telling him he wanted a big funeral and his ashes shot out of a cannon.

Think they will grant his last request?
