I know I have read about google adwords in the past here, but I tried a search and nothing came up. Maybe because of the site change or something. My question is what do you guys think of adwords? Does it seem to be worth it?

Yes I find Adwords to be very helpful. I am new at it, playing around with keywords and changing around the ad itself. I try to make it different then other ads displayed on google. Try to make it stand out. Offer something different.
I think the most important advice for adwords and any other text ppc is that you tell people EXACTLY what to expect. If you are pushing a $4.95/3 day trial, put that in the ad. Plus chose your target words carefully, for instance with google I would specifically include "gay porn" but uninclude "free gay porn". Doing these will get you less clicks but your conversion ratios will be way better and your costs will be way less!

A friend of mine tested out the ad words on google over the last few weeks. The ad words did well. They also tested out some sort of banner thing on google, but it did not do well at all. They tried using a few different writing styles with them over the last couple of months, and it seemed the best results came from the "CLICK HERE FOR CHEAP PORN!" or "LOADS OF HOT MEN FOR ONLY $10.00!".
I have had pretty good results from using adwords. I think the key to it is being real specific about the words we bid on. I think going after our niche helps with it a lot.
I have heard lots of people say they didnt get very good results, but they were going for more general terms.

So you guys are saying to try and be specific on what you are trying to sell as in a specific membership price? As in $24.95 for a month membership (or any other price/membership)? I know I'll try and experiment, but the thing I should be concerned with is the keywords(which I should be fairly specific with) and then try and stand out with the text. That sounds like it in a nut shell, if anyone has any other advice I would be most gratefull.
