So who know Damian Ford (from LA) the gay pornstar? Do you like his movies and do you think he is a good branding to work with and make money with?

Howdy and welcome Q Man. It's pretty early in the day for many in this industry. I seem to be the only one that posts at 5 AM - unless of course they are just getting in.
I wish I could give you an opinion on Damian Ford, but I'm pretty clueless with names. I'm sure some of the more seasoned members will stop by and offer you many opinions.
You will also find on this board lots of great folks to network with. Take some time and check out the sponcers who advertize here. Lots of great folks to throw your hat into the ring with.

Damain Ford ... hmmm, that's a tough one. It's also hard because I don't want to appear cruel. But here goes ...
Damian Ford's marketability and your ability to make money selling his image will depend largely on his ability to accept that he's getting older. I read somewhere that he's 35, and let's face it, our industry isn't kind to gay porn stars that stray too far from 18, barely legal, or twink.
However, if Damian is accepting the fact that he's getting older and he's willing to be classed in that genre, I think you've got a shot. If he's fighting getting older, then you'll be dealing with a porn star who is living in the past. He'll constantly be dragging out the picture set of himself from 1997 where he's wearing a red shirt, white pants, and reclining on the stars. It's classic, it's beautiful, it's hot, but it's Damian Ford almost ten years ago. You'll be facing a design nightmare.
There's a huge market for older / mature men, and if he can grow body hair, all the better. My suggestion would be almost to re-invent him as a mature hairy man. His library of porn movies isn't really marketable to the hairy man crowd because they're full of buff younger, smooth types. But he does have a few titles like Closed Set and Leather Training Center 2 that you could build on. If you could get him into some movies with the likes of TitPig, Steve Parker, Jeff Allen, Damien Vincetti, the Hot Desert Knights gang, some Raging Stallion stuff, then he's got a lot more mileage. If Damian's hoping to be teamed up with the latest Bel Ami boys and hold onto some of the good ole days, I'd say you've got a marketing problem.
Damian Ford isn't one of your bigger names in gay porn, so his name doesn't conjure up Jeff Stryker-like enormity or Ryan Idol popularity, but he definitely has his fan base. (I always liked him.) I also see that he's already trying to reinvent himself with Penis Palooza, which is a website geared towards raunchy, group sex parties.
