For all you TGP submitters

So this is what I've been noticing with MY submissions, and I want to know if other people have the same experience. . .

It seems that when I submit FREQUENTLY, there is a spike in traffic but low conversion. . .which of course is expected. .

But I have noticed that on weekends when I cut back on the submissions, or halt it alltogether, suddenly there's a huge spike in new subscriptions, or an onslaught of them during the week.

Anyone else have this experience?

BTW this has been a great forum to find. And Don, Ade, Michael. . .you guys make me BLUSH. .thanks for the compliments!

I haven't done regular submitting in a little while, but one thing I did notice is that when I got galleries on somewhere like thehun, they would always do better if they were listed in the overflow as opposed to the first page. Maybe its cuz by the time surfers get to the older listings they are tired of hunting for free stuff and are ready to join a site and get off NOW!!!

I have to agree with what Luke said, in the past i have always found that getting listed early on in the day, rather than right before an update that our TGP sales have been better.

Admittedly though we havent done any TGP submissions for a month or so lol

Dart - are you posting frequently for the same site or using the same template over and over? btw, my gay sales are always better on weekdays - have been for years.

i do best on thehun on the first page - MUCH better than overflow.

Listen to everything basschick tells you, she's the TGP queen, she knows this stuff inside and out. She has experimented and studied it. When I didn't listen to her, I made no money. When I listened to her, I made money.

on the weekends sponsors are usualy drunk so they forget to turn on the "shave" button..

When I was posting a few times a week I would see more sales on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. After my galleries where listed in the past gallery listings. The weekend sales where ok, but I still made more on those 3 days of the week.

I have been a webmaster for several years. Have made some real money and lost some money. My highest income per month was 2x the national average. I work only a few hours a night. But my experience is with the hetero scene.

I sincerely doubt I have made any sales off tgp postings. I seem to recall reading somewhere else that others have experienced the same thing.

Can someone briefly go through the following and tell me if something is blatantly wrong?

So what gives? Is it normal to get no signups off tgp's? Should I focus on the gay only tgp's or the "all things considered" tgps?

I have made some serious money off AVS's before in the past so I am not sure that could be a central factor. Of course if it is a full blown paysite then that will convert better but definitely not rebill as good.

I focused on "all things considered" AVS's because I figured my target market probably already has all the gay AVS passes like mancheck, et al.

if you doubt you have made sales, sounds like you don't know for sure - and you should or how will you know what did and didn't work?

this gallery has i think 4 outgoing links - are you sure any of those tgps you listed posted it? a lot of tgps won't post galleries with that many.

this gallery is too wide for an 800x600 browser. it doesn't use the words CLICK or CLICK HERE. and it's not really selling me - it's not trying to get me excited. there's no feeling of immediacy. also GHole is something i had to think about. the gallery only uses "gloryhole" on it once - not on a link, and in fine print.

why not something more like
Real guys get their dicks sucked through GLORY HOLES - Click to see them

immediacy AND keywords ;)

also your links aren't underlined. a lot of surfers look for that underline to figure out what's clickable. always make the links obvious. yours don't say click here and they aren't underlined - so you'll be missing a lot of less experienced surfers, and they are often your buyers.

most professional gallery submitters submit to around 100 tgps for each gallery. i submit to less, but still a fair amount - never less than 18 tgps per gallery, usually more like 42, which takes about 20 minutes. btw, i get 2/3s of my gay sales from gay tgps.

i'm rambling, but hopefully i've answered some questions here.

You have MANY good points...ones that I should have thought of.

Those tgp's are the ones that listed the gallery. I only hand submit to around 25 tgp's.

I am going to redo the gallery based upon your comments. Will let you know how it goes! Thanks a bunch!!
