In Spanish-speaking countries there is a phrase that describes you perfectly: "alma de Dios." It literally means "God's soul." You only call "alma de Dios" people who are completely selfless, kind, and who go out of her way to help others, like you do.

Had a rather quiet birthday. The wife and I did go out to my favorite restaurant and I got my BBQ ribs dinner. Then we poked around a couple shops and we managed to only pick up a couple items we needed and resisted the temptation to splurge on a tv for the bedroom! (The one we have now ... the picture is excellent, but the sound is doing this awful crackling thing, like a really hi pitched buzz, and it makes you crazy after a bit of listening to it).

It was great fun getting ICQ wishes and email cards and fun posts on the boards ... really made me realize just how many folk I know and who care enough to stop and pass along a hug and a birthday wish! :sun:
