Jasun, how do you get the browser to point to the appropriate video file?
That would be one for a coding person. Video I can help with, but how to get it to detect which browser is being used is a bit beyond my knowledge.
I DO know that you should point Web-TV Users to the Quicktime files and they'll run just fine....
That's wierd that WebTV video would use quicktime. Isn't WebTV owned by Microsoft?
It's actually not that, it's the streaming software.. quicktime will work with web TV because it.. well, it does.
Streaming Windows Media requires software that's incompatable with WebTV.
I never encode most of my vids with anything less than 1 meg bit rate (or 999kb)..yes, your size will be larger, but quality will noticeably improve. Just do a test of a sample clip you have to see if the improvement of quality justifies the size of the file you make. While it's nice to have as small a size file as you can get, in the end, ya want them cocks as crystal clear as possible. :devil:Quote:
