But in any event...my point was that I really think (like some others mentioned in here) people, no matter where they are, have the right to do what they want on their own message board.
For an example, they may have sponsors who would have found it to be in poor taste and they don't want to offend their sponsors...what ever the case, sounds to me like they just did what they wanted to on their own board.
You can call it censoring and you have the right to say whatever the hell you want, or whatever...it doesn't mean that someone that owns a message board can't do with it what they want.
Probably, if you owned a message board (you might, I dunno) but, if someone said something on it that really hit a sore spot to you, or maybe pissed off sponsor that you had...you might think about editing it or getting rid of it yourself.
I saw a message on a mainstream board today that was so totally messed up about the hurricane victims and saving animals as well. Someone said something so fucked up about it (I wont even say it here it was so bad) but, I wrote to the owner of the board and requested that they get a moderator and fast, so shit like that could be deleted.
I'm not trying to compare but rather trying to make the point that an owner of a board might feel a responsibility to the rest of their members and or sponsors, that they try to make everyone there feel comfortable and not start a huge board war that really is counter productive.
