it's power through sex - sticking a dick in someone is related to sex... in my book, anyway.

You have been watching too many Oz reruns. ;)Quote:

the only oz i know includes a girl named dorothy who keeps finding her way there, sometimes with a dog and sometimes with a talking chicken... and no one gets older or dies.
Oz was a gritty HBO series about life inside of a maximum security prison, famous for it's explicit rape scenes and frequent male full-frontal nudity.
It's most famous star was Chris Meloni (grrrrr!) who simultaneously starred in Law & Order Special Victims Unit. Rita Moreno also had a prominent role as the prison psychiatrist.
Btw basschick, the theory that rape is not sex is not an original idea that sprang from my brain. Just type in "rape is not sex" in google and read some articles.
As we all know, especially from the old Seinfeld episode with George in the cold water, MEN already have to deal with "shrinkage"!
Now gaymen find their "numbers" having to deal with "shrinkage"!
One thing I find VERY funny is the right wing CLAMMORING about how much wealth and power the "gay community" has for it's "agenda"! And to think, a little over 2% of the population has that much power? Just think what the Quakers could do if they got their shit together!:cheese:
Xstr8guy - i'm familiar with the "rape is not sex" theme. it's just that i don't believe you can fully separate sex from rape, as there are many other ways to show power that don't involve the perp having an orgasm.
it's definitely same-sex contact - whatever people like to pretend.
i really have had several friends who were repeatedly raped while in jail - the one i was talking about was so traumatized that when he got out, he would barely talk to anyone for months, and refused to leave his room, and couldn't sleep.
another became a rapist after his jail experience, and the rest were fucked up in various ways. it really does happen there - it's not just a thing on tv shows, and it's very scary.
An interesting study in statistics, but I would ask those 97% of men who chose female partners only what they would say if:
1. Every major religion didn't preach how being gay was against God?
2. If being gay was classed by so many as a disease
3. If gay wasn't portrayed as a choice rather than a reality of nature, just as one's colour of skin is a happenstance of nature, not choice.
How many then would say they are only attracted to females?
Being gay even today in many parts is still something to hide, to keep secret. How often have you heard of men who have been married for decades suddenly announcing they are gay? Would those men if questioned in this survey have selected attraction to males over females or would they have fostered the lie by claiming only females attract them?
Perhaps the real result of this survey isn't that only 2% of the population is gay, but that only 2% of the population have come out of the closet and put aside the stigma that society has placed on them?
Just a thought.
Ian
amen, ian - i completely agree with more with this post!
