hmmm...speaking of fags..err..fads , i'm noticing a resurgence of personal pics in people's avators ( of course that comes and goes depending on who dropped kicked who that week! ) :goof:
"VOD" is seemingly popular and sales are strong but i feel the market $ is someplace else.

there are reasons to pay by the minute instead of buying a membership. one is selection - the average paysite has a LOT less videos than the average PPV site. and in many more niches, too.
also a lot of people are very afraid of recurring billing they didn't want, and paying by the minute makes them feel better.
i think if companies like AEBN would make good quality tours and good quality free video consoles, they - and we - would make a lot more money. i don't think the product is bad, but the marketing is pretty poor.
and yes - i realize i'm bumping an old thread but i was looking for PPV companies and found this one ;)

My prediction for a future trend: Disposable DVD sales. Once these hit the market, they will be HUGE and this is the boost that online DVD rental retailers need.

I think one of the new trends we will be seeing in the near future is the consumer, in the comfort of there own home, will be able to pay one price for a DVD video. A person can download a whole DVD video to there computers harddrive and burn the movie onto a DVD disk. The movie will be encoded so that person can only burn one copy. This will benefit the consumer by not driving miles to a video store or waiting for the video to be shipped, it would give them instant satisfaction.
There will always be adult video stores for people to purchase or rent there favorite videos, there will always be online video sites to purchase a video and I think that PPV sites such as AEBN will always be popular. As for membership sites...that is a whole new story...I think niche sites will become much more popular and single person (such as model sites) will be popular in the future.
That's my future prediction.....
I see that happening, too. Right now I have digital cable and internet at home, and I have a DVR box. Wouldn't it be cool if I could order a porn video off some website like D&E's site and have it transmitted to my DVR box? Even if I had to buy my own DVR box, it would be worth it for the convenience. Of course, this assumes that I can buy a DVR box (isn't that something like a Tivo box anyway) and have high bandwidth fiber service to my house.Quote:

Yes! Tivo is a DVR and that is one of the features that you can download a video right to your DVR. We are looking into the technology but we want to make sure its full proof and we are looking at all aspects...the technology is there but we need to do it right. Perhaps more folks like yourself will be able to enjoy a D&E video and of course a citiboyz video as well...HOT twink boy action delivered to you in just a few moments...:cheese:Quote:

Video download is absolutely happening.
Tivo lets users download some small programs. Some are promotional/advertisey in nature. Some are short indy films.
Apple lets you download videos for the video iPods. Including shows from USA Network, Sci-Fi, NBC, ABC, Disney, etc.
Netflix is quietly hiring video encoders (see Craigslist). The most likely partner is Tivo for the movie delivery.
The pieces are coming together. This will happen for adult too for sure.

Congrats David and Eddie you guys definitely deserve it. You guys are down to earth, honest, friendly, talented and you guys work together and still achieved this and that is awesome. I hope I don't kill my partner once we start working together. Congrats to you guys. :groovy:
