It really amazes me nobody is shooting porn here big time; yeah, we're facing a dictator in the making (we're fighting with teeth and nails to get rid of him) but, if you consider the economic situation (80% unemployment, and the basic expenses of a family of 4 is around Bs. 800.000 with a minimal wage of Bs. 300.000), plus the legal stand of porn here (no minaors can participate in porn, vendors can't sell porn to minor... that's it, that's all there is) I don't get why there are no big companies shooting here. Recently, a "youth" newspaper (target: college age) called Urbe, had as cover story porn actress Victoria Lanz (she's from here), her boyfriend Jhonny Montoya, and photographer Juan Carlos Castillo (both from here), and everybody went nuts about how proud we all should feel for her being called a "star", and let's not forget Carlos Morales, he's from here too, I don't know if he qualifies as a "star", but at least he's pretty well known in the business...

BTW, for those guys that shoot their own content... How did you start? I mean, it wasn't like you had some spare time and money and then went like "Hmmm... I'm gonna shoot porn..." So, how did you do it? What do you need? How much? Not that I have the capital to do it, or, frankly, the guts to start on my own, but I've always wondered about it...

It's amazing that in the U.S. with the post-911 "Patriot Act" the feds are basically free to do whatever they friggin' want to invade our homes and violate our "Original" Constitutional Rights against unreasonable searches and seizers. I'm sure the Statue of Liberty is shedding a tear.
