However, self-loathing IS a disorder, and New Guy, you have self-loathing pretty bad. Come on all the way of the closet! There is nothing wrong with you. There is nothing wrong with being gay. There is nothing wrong with being openly gay.
Sexuality is a wonderful gift and not something to be ashamed of--no matter what your orientation. The religious right thinks that ANY sex is bad that is outside of their accepted standard of a marital bedroom, in the dark, under the sheets, missionary position and only for the purpose of making babies NEVER for the pure pleasure or human bonding experience. The religious right REALLY thinks gay sex is bad because of their own internal phobias, inhibitions, and bigotry. Of course they hate us! To them, gays have sex all the time and flaunt our sexuality! They WISH they could, and turn their internal turmoil against us.
Internal turmoil about being gay and possibly sex in general is not a good thing to have in this business.
