Sorry I wasn't clear. I was trying to find the area to compress into the different formats. Thanks buddy.Quote:

If I understood that correctly, do this:
Let's say you wanted a compressed Window's Media File... When you're finished editing a clip, select "Render As" under the File Menu. A box will pop up, Select "Windows Media Video V9" under Save as Type and give it a name. Before saving it, use the custom feature for compressing your video.
To do this, hit the Custom button on the left. This is where the compressing part comes in and where you'll have to spend some time experimenting trying out different options (working to maximize quality while minimizing final file size).
Let me know if that answers your questions.
Cheers,
BrianDN
Also... In the save file type as box, you have many options (Quicktime, Real Media, MPEG, etc.)
Brian
Thanks Lee I will try that. :)Quote:

All depends on what you need to do.
If you already have a source video (DV CAM, DVD, CD, Beta, VHS....)
Then I would suggest using Digital-Rapids cards with their software.
Not only will you get a hardward assited capture with color, sounds, and de-interlacing but you get more output formats done at the same time.
WM7, MW9
Real 9 & 10
MPEG 1, 2, 4
WAV
AVI
AVI Divx
Sorenson ACE: MP4, AVC, MOV, FLASH, SP3
Blah blah blah
Since this software with only with their capture card it the speed to process is increased beyond your dreams.
Upside: Really fast, good, and does batch encoding
Download...hardware and software starts (together) at about $3,000. We get a good discount since we use them for the encoding we do for clients. If you need more info please drop me a line. I've tried AVI to computer, Vegas, Osprey, and just about everything else.
You can also go to digital-rapids.com
PS...if you are going to do .wmv files you are better off with a lower single stream card as the CPU demands are to high to do two videos with three profiles each. But we get one stream with and then do three profiles at one time.
Again...I'm impressed and I'm the "never happy, bitchy, media queen".
Very good to know I will have to check into that. :)Quote:

Now it seems like in Vegas you have to do each video separately into each format and speed. This seems like alot more work than Sorenson or am I missing something?
Thanks,
Mark
Hey Mark,
From what I know, yes, you have to do each one individually. I know what you mean: Sorenson's amazing for that!
If there's a way to do it like Sorenson, I haven't figured that out. Maybe somebody else might know. But, I don't think you can.
