prizes are fun and good if it is an actual contest, but calling this a contest is misleading. It should be called an incentive or a bonus, or perhaps just clever spam.Quote:

Hi Chilihost,
My favorite bonus program is from Mancheck. I've reached it before and if you get busy, it's definitely attainable and lucrative. I also like Pridebucks and i'm sure there's lots of good programs out there.
I'm very disappointed in this Curious Cash thing, it just isn't really based on reality.
Can I have the bear you keep in your pants? Woof!Quote:

Just imagine (if they were rodents) the size of their wiskers, and them walking along the baseboards feeling their way (with their wiskers) to the fromage de bamshoots.
back to the thread topic...
most of the 'prizes' offered are not needed (already have or do not want).
So, with that, are they not limiting themselves to webmasters that want the 'prize'?
As an example I'll use mp3 players: now, what web master or whom here does not have one (for those that are in to them)?
If they offered cash, or (as one of the bigger sponsors offers) something like ClubX points with a catalogue of items available, I MIGHT be somewhat swayed to join, but to be truly honest, I do not trust that concept.
Oh, how about an Internext package as the 'prize' - includes registration and hotel (The Venetian, Luxor or similar). Now what webmaster wouldn't want that?
Thanks for the shout out there HuskyHunks. At Pride Bucks, we try to mix it up. Sometimes we do promotions to get people excited like this month. We're offering $50 per signup to everyone for every sale Feb 12 to Feb 18.Quote:

How fun is it if every promo or contest was just for the programs top earners? Not very.
Not every promo is gonna energize everybody thats why it's important for us to come up with different ideas. If the IPOD or Internext trip didn't float your boat, maybe $50 per signup this month will. If not, maybe next month's cash prize will.
We can't please everybody all the time. But we can make sure that the love is felt all the way around.
With all due respect to the guys at Curious Cash, I agree that this contest is kinda funky. First of all, I think most of us know that we're never going to be able to send that many signups, so it has no appeal to us. Secondly, anyone who does send that many signups can probably afford to pay for that trip pretty easily, and is probably not going to be that interested in participating. But perhaps this is actually an ingenious move on their part, aimed at signing up some really heavy hitters.
I hate to tute my own horn, but everyone else is, so I might as well mention that yesterday I held, IMO, one of the most generous contest's ever. The final chance of winning worked out to be 1 in 64, and all you had to do to qualify was post one forum message. Show me another contest with odds like that! BTW, I'm still giving away $4000 more, so it's not to late, but the chances are never gonna be that good again!
That was one of the best contests Dick Hunter. I mean, I thought i might have been too good to be true so I didn't enter. I think i will mozy on down your way, i want to check things out anyway.
Such a wise man! :-)Quote:

FYI, I've been PM'ing with Bec, and it looks like there an issue with GayWebmasters.com when viewed through AOL. Thanks Bec, for the heads up!
