What's considered a good retention rate?

I count my member retention slightly differently because of that, instead of the first time a member joins counting as month 1, that, to me, is counted as month 0 only when they rebill do they become part of the month 1 stats.

Okay we are in trouble, even I understood that... :coffee:

I've made it simple by asking my members with a pool on the site. 36% have been members for 5 months or more, which is great, I think!

Overall, from one month to another, the retention is 60%. I try to keep the site fun and respect the members. With time I saw honesty and daily updates helps to keep that 50% or more new members move on to month 1.

The problem with asking members via a poll, is that people lie on polls all the time LOL

You have the data available at your processor, why not just use that and get a true, accurate idea of what your retention is like? :eek:

Man, don't know about all the Math .. but all my Badpuppy sites have great rebills and we have kept some of our Video Secret clients on the gay side, for more than 2 years. Bless those darlin' wankers, they pay our mortage, every month.
