Our agenda with the gay niche is certainly not to overtake it by any means. We simply want to gain market share by giving our current clients some new options and hopefully getting some new gay traffic oriented webmasters.
What are we doing?
I have contracted out a content producer to shoot exclusive gay content. I wrote the site and directed the shoots (remotely). We plan to focus on this site in an isolated fashion, in other words, we are not going to try to manage multiple gay sites until we get this specific one off the ground. In all likelihood, we will open up a small dedicated department that assist with writing text, consulting on ideas and managing affiliates.
We have reaped the benefits of a successful straight program, we do have one gay site in our portfolio; however, we want to make sure we have the ability to offer a multitude of opportunities for our clients and future clients. We payout competitively and we have the financing, however we understand that we can't "buy" our way into the market.
The models will be used to brand the site. However we will employ many other marketing methods such as advertising on gay forums for further expansion.
