for the fact that 99% of the usa wants porn and its the most searched for thing on the net, you woudl think the would stop trying to kill it !
I'm small potatoes compared to everyone else weighing in on this topic but I thought I would share my experience launching my dvd site AceBoys in Q4 2005.
Both the Merchant Bank and CC processor completed a review of my site. I had to eliminate certain key words on my product pages and replace them with tems like "college aged" and "Jock". But not once did they mention the fact that I had the term BOY in my domain name.
In addition to passing muster with the Banks, I applied for a membership with the ASACP who also conducted a review of my site and approved my membership. It's my understanding that I am currently in full compliance of the ASACP User Agreement with my current domain name.
Finally, my attorney never raised a flag about my domain name either. I'm going to circle back with ASACP and my Attorney and get their thoughts and will let you know what i learn. :mental:

there's nothing new here. my lawyer told us in 1998 to stop using the word teen unless we were using a qualifier, and to stop using the word young pretty much at all.
college boys live is a name that establishes that the boys are of normal legal age because most people in college are over 18.
ccbill has no choice but to protect their business and our industry by avoiding very common phrases like "very young teen boys" that i see used all the time. if visa shuts ccbill down, the adult industry is fucked - don't you want and expect your processors to protect YOUR business by complying with visa? after all, without visa you lose most of your sales.
Its not fraises like "very young teen boys" that worries me personally, its when they are now wanting to have banned fraises like “twink boys” “frat boys” banned. See it starts with “young, and teen”, now it moves to “boy” what’s next? I do not think its Visa so much, I think its the US gov. they are caving in too, over seas companies use the same visa company, and have non of those restrictions. If I was you guys I would keep a secondary processor available, this is not going to stop, it is going to get worse, and at what point are you going to get feed up is the real question. :notsure: Personally again, I draw the line at “twink boys”
Frankly if VISA and MC decide to ban any word, it really isn't going to make a hill of beans difference how many cc processors you sign up for. They all HAVE TO follow the rules set down by the credit card companies or lose their ability to process those companies cards.
Fact is that if you want to accept VISA, MC, DISCOVER, or any credit card, you need to follow their rules. Plain and simple, irrespective of your take or opinion. Only choice you have is to either follow their rules and accept their cards for payment, or not take them. :coffee:

Point isn't what are other countries doing or not doing. You are USA based, operate and hosted in the USA. You are subject to your own countries regulations, whether you like it or not. If you can work around it by somehow getting European processing, fine... there is your answer then, but until you do, you are stuck with the rules in your country.Quote:

You may not be hosted or process here, but you are physically in the US. And that's what matters. Unless you have the time, money, and really good representation to properly establish and maintain a non-US entity, complete with employees who live and work in the country where that company is domiciled, the ruse won't get you anywhere. The Feds follow the money... this is what so many people don't seem to get. Hosting outside the US to avoid US laws makes no difference whatsoever (with the possible exception of making it a little more inconvenient for them to seize your servers.)Quote:
