I do not know if anyone has hit on this point yet, because I did not read all of this LOL, but most viewers are probable not reading anything you say in a review, they are just joining sites by how they visually look, and if they fit the category they are looking for. Like the saying goes a pic is worth 1000 words, everyone in the world could say it sucks, but if they like your tour they will join. :wacko:

As for the site itself sure if you are a member of several avs's or surf for a few days looking you could find all the same shit everywhere...I just put it all in one place.
& as Basschick and her source (gaydemon) have said...the site converts, it recurrs, and has only had 3 chargebacks in its entire life (now nearly 2years!)
Since then I have gone on to shoot exclusive stuff coz the money works out better, gives the surfers a much better deal and is waaay more fun.....but hey, I ain't gonna kill off a cash cow coz there's a new surfer everyday with a new computer from Dell who has never seen this stuff before!

you're completely wrong. many of the regulars comment on the reviews by email and on some review sites, they also comment on forms, blog-style. the surfers WANT to know what we're telling them - the quality and number of pic sets and videos.
they read it enough that i've seen careless reviews get corrections from surfers who noticed that the review had the wrong bitrates. also people read the member area descriptions well enough to comment if there have been changes.
the entire reason most review sites have such great conversions is that the surfers DO read them.

I've seen some review sites that give extraordinary reviews to really crappy sites. I know one of her reviewers contacted me last month about a gay site he was reviewing, told me it sucked, and asked how he could make it sound better than it was. I told him not to bother and that the review would have to be honest and be published that way but I'd still pay him the agreed-upon amount. I think he expected to earn less if the review wasn't sterling.
