Would you support Rudy Giuliani for president in 08?

intersting guy so far... i guess i'd need to know more about what virginia was like just before he took over to have an opinion. after all, he has his own people putting a spin on thigs - just like any public figure does.

Guilianni, or John McCain will not become President probably ever, the both appear to be centrist even though I do like John McCain much more they will never get their party’s nomination. We are looking at Hillary, and another probably even more of a right wing, flag waving, bible thumping “compassionate conservative” Its hard for most people to see the world in more than black or white, so gray will not get a nomination for many years to come if it really ever has.

I will add to have a true centrist candidate we would need more than a 2 party’s system maybe 3-5 real party’s, but I will also add having more than 2 party’s is a bit “sloppy” in some ways, and has lead to some real instability in other countries.

Hey listen I'm last to chat politics, especially at the peril of hurting my business relationships but I will say, that we all know, the cardinal rule of politics is........ *drumroll please* Image is everything

while that is true, it does not mean we all want the SAME image.

when people were polled even before bush was elected, the people who voted for him didn't feel he looked intelligent - although they DID feel he came off as a "strong leader".

i guess this tells us a little about them - they want a strong but unintelligent leader? i mean, if they would THINK about that concept for a minute for a minute...

I used to really like Rudy but lately he has fallen more in line with the other whackjobs. Same goes for McCain. Back in 2000 i REALLY wanted him to win. He was somewhat socially liberal while being fiscally conservative, which i enjoy. Though lately he has even spoken out against some of the programs he championed (campain reform, et al.). Big disappointment in both cases. Oprah 08'? Book club in the Oval Office? HAWT!

In all honesty im not hopeful in the least for a decent candidate in 08'. Yes, i will vote, but again i will more than likely be voting for the lesser of two evils. Seems like every politician these days has his or her hand WAY too deep into the pockets of corporate america. I hate to sound morbid but im really hoping that this years hurricane season is even more intense.. just to wake some more people up. The neocons/repubs got their pearl harbor, i think its time we start hoping for ours.
