There's also a great, affordable (and clean) place on the corner of Santa Monica and Doheney, but I can't find the name of it right now. Some web searching will find it for ya. Also a killer location but affordable.

The Beverly Laurel is pretty close to West Hollywood and not too far from Silverlake, Beverly Hills, and such. If the price is right I'd say go for it. Plus you could just go downstairs to Swingers for breakfast in the morning. That's one of my favorite places to eat in LA. Ask to sit in the back room, it's all done up in Andy Warhol pink cow wallpaper, very cool. ;)
