How do you guys clean your keyboard and mouse?

There are letters on the keyboard? :honest: DAMN I need a new one then... :coffee:

I just give it a wee wipe with a dry cloth mostly, optical mouse so I just wipe it down now & then, unless Paco's been using it for his personal hygeine lessons... then I sell them.. :mental:

Washing with warm water works, just turn it upside down over a towel and let it dry. Anytime we get the urge to "upgrade" keyboards, we buy 3. One for each computer, and a spare for when one is in wash and dry downtime. For day to day -- I have a soft brush handy, and a can of compressed air.

Take the keyboard outside and put the yard blower on it. If it's all dry stuff like cookie crumbs it should blow right out. You can also clean out the inside of your computer with it too. I usually stay a couple feet back for that.

A compressed air tank will also work, but you've got to be more careful. It can blow the keys off the keyboard and snap things in half in the computer. There's also the air pump at the gas station if you don't have one of these and don't mind looking a little dumb.

Something similar happened to my previous laptop. I was totally screwed because I couldn't get it fixed. The lesson I learned was never to clean a laptop keyboard.

when it's really dirty, i open the keyboard using screwdrivers...and then vaccuming the insides...and for the outside part, i use baby wipes (love the smell)...i use baby wipes for the mouse as well...:groovy:

I use a Turbo Tiger vacuum for the keyboard. For the mouse? Unscrew it and get inside of it using a wet wipes. :yeah:
