I don't believe he did it because so far, nothing makes sense.
He said he drugged her, but there were no drugs in her system, he said he killed her by accident, but she was beaten to death with a cinch around her throat and duct tape on her mouth.
OH, and his ex wife says that he was with her that Christmas.
In Alabama.
And he's just trying to get some attention.. and more than that.. he's trying to get extradited to the US to get out of the trouble he's in in Thailand.
Well according to profilers they have said reality, and what he wants to believe, are two different things. Saying he drugged her and it was an accident makes it seem as if she experienced no pain and he didn't do it on purpose.
Of course the killer actually being there and doing the crime are an important aspect of any murder case lol
Will be interesting to see how it all pans out.
Anyone taking bets?
My feeling on this whole thing is that he was accused and arrested for a seperate indicident while he was living in Thailand! He was arrested in Thailand for having sex with a child...so I think his plan was, instead of getting arrested in Thailand and spending time in a Thailand prison. He came up with this so called "confession" so that he can draw international attention to himself, the Boulder, CO. police department and all the dedectives working on the case would go to Thailand and extradiate him back to the United States so he doesn't have to appear in court and possible imprisionment in Thailand. He comes back to the United States, the officials investigate his claim and then realizes that he didn't kill the girl and the officials here label him a "looney tune crazy person" and he gets released. I guess in his mind, its better to be labelled a crazy person then spend time in a Thailand jail for a long time.
I do agree with DonMike, I mean they can go after us...but the feds should really look into parents that do dress up their daughters like "sluts and whores" and parade them on stage like drag queens...this is a real crime!!!
That's what I thought initially until it came out that he's been sending letters to the ramseys regarding the murder AND he's been sending emails for 4 years, back and forth to a professor at the University of Colorado. Link to letters
In 2005 he sent the same professor an email with "an ode to JonBenet Ramsey" which he wanted read to the Ramsey family.
Also sent to the professor was an old photo of a young boy with a stuffed santa, the same kind that was found in the girls bedroom after the murder.
Seems like this guy fits into the case well and it wasn't something some crazy guy just made up on a whim.
Time will tell
Looks like he never claimed he drugged her or picked her up from school before killing her.
The Thai Lt. Gen. police man is changing his story about what John Karr told him. The policeman actually admits he added to what Karr said based on what the policeman saw on tv in the past regarding the jonbenet case.
This just gets more and more odd.
---------------
Lt. Gen. Suwat Tumrongsiskul of the Thai immigration police changed some details Friday of the account he had given of what Karr told investigators. In a telephone interview Thursday with The Associated Press, Suwat quoted Karr as saying he had sexually assaulted the girl and given her drugs. He also told reporters before a news conference that day Karr had claimed to have picked up JonBenet at her school, though her 1996 death came during the holiday break.
On Friday, Suwat confirmed to the AP his account of the sexual assault. But asked if Karr gave the girl drugs, Suwat said the suspect described the encounter with JonBenet Ramsey as "a blur."
"It may have been drugs, or it may have been something else because (Karr said) it was a blur, blur," Suwat said.
Suwat also said Friday that his statement about the girl being picked from school was based on a documentary he had seen and not the interrogation. " SOURCE (near the bottom of the story)
Keep in mind that the media is always looking for something that will bring in the audience. The slightest hint of a juicy story will get people to tune in and increase the numbers. Sadly, this is more important that responsably reporting the news. And if it's a slow new day or week, they need to jazz up any story that would seem fit to publish. This should have been a footnote to an old story but now the media circus has made it into an epic.
And not one mention of the ground breaking shocker ...

Oh c'mon! Why is Jon Benet still news? Sure, I understand they have a confessor in custody but so what. More important things happens everday in this world and I am so tired of hearing news about abducted/murdered attractive white women and cute white children.
This is just another example of the Nancy Grace/Rita Cosby/Paula Zahn school of journalism. Go away already and let us hear some real news for a change!
ROFLMAO!!! I can't believe the Weekly World News has a website! How did I miss this? I used to love that paper. OMG. Did you read that story??? They should have known better. After all, it was a Gypsy curse that cursed the vampire Angel with getting his soul back.
I think Elian Gonzalez killed JonBenet. In fact, I'm quite certain that during the short time he was in Florida, he met and conspired with Terri Schiavo to off her as a way to avenge the authorities having foiled their attempts to trap Baby Jessica in that pipe forever.
But what about Baby Sabrina?
Strange Fact - My backyard is the "woods" they always talked about.
