OF COURSE!
Oh, Mom knows alright! Her husband (3rd) sells gay porn on ebay...
He's straight..for sure...but he says gay porn on ebay sells well for him...
It's my bible thumping sister i would never want to cross!
My mom knows and loves it. She always asks questions about my work and always blames the models when I get a migraine.
My dad does, too. He let us use his farm to shoot one of the scenes in our new movie, as a matter of fact. My stepmom made the cast and crew brownies and cookies, as well as served them all ice cold water and soda in between takes.

Yes indeedy. They're glad I'm finally doing something that I luv. :)
But of course they do.
More or less every person I know knows what I do - I am not ashamed of what I do, nor am I one that lies to my "loved ones" (friends and family).
I wish more people would tell their supposed loved ones the truth, as hiding from it only adds to the social stigma.
My Immediate family Knows. thyey just asked me if what i was doing was legal. i said Yes and they were cool with it. For anyone else i also use Internet Advertising. most people get confused and don;t ask any more
My family are the only ones who don't know, but being very Catholic and very conservative I don't think it would fly well. LOL!
But when people ask me what I do I proudly proclaim that I work in porn. Then they usually look at me like "you're too fat to be a porn model" then I have to politely explain that I manage a website. I actually had one person say "ah, that makes sense, cause I was gonna say..."
I would have been shocked by that response but nothing surprises me anymore.
What If
by King Missle
One day
What if one day
What if I said
I wish I was a tree
And then, suddenly,
I was a tree
Then could I wish myself back?
No, trees can't wish.
What if I wished I was a wishing tree,
A tree that could wish?
What if i wished I was a toilet bowl,
And then I was one, and the wind
changed and I stayed that way?
Or what if I wished I was a toilet bowl
And suddenly I was a tree!
Would I be able to say,
"Hey! I wanted to be a toilet bowl, not a tree?"
No, I wouldn't be able to say that,
Because trees can't talk
They don't have mouths.
I would have to have the foresight to say,
"I wish I was a toilet,
But if by some chance I'm turned into a tree instead,
I wish to be a tree with
a mouth that can wish to be
changed back into a human being!"
Because I'd only ever want to be a toilet or a tree for a
very brief
period of time.
I guess this is the exact reason why they always say you
should be very
careful what you wish for.
I came out to my mom when I was a freshmen college student at the University of Texas, back in 1987. So, I have learned the benefits of coming out a long time ago - it's about honesty, and that's how you build close bonds, not from keeping secrets.
Last year, I flew up to Michigan and took my mom to dinner. BEFORE THE MAIN COURSE ARRIVED, I said "Look there's something I have to tell you. Because I can't keep it a secret anymore." I then very quickly added "Now this is nothing bad!"
I explained, "Look I have another website that I've never told you about" and she very quickly interrupted "I already know about it"
Well what she didn't know was how well it was doing.
From between the time I quit my last "real job" in 1996 and for all those subsequent years living way below the poverty line, not to mention disentangling myself out of a nine year relationship, she's helped me countless times with money and anything else so that I could keep my idea of a web business going. (In fact, that was another one of my lead-ins "You know how I've not had to ask you for money in awhile?")
So when I told her about how friskyfans was doing her jaw just dropped. And she said, "I'm so happy for you" and she mused over her son "the porn mogul" And after getting all that out, I was able to enjoy the entire dinner.
Now I did make it a point to say that I just write about it... I'm not in it.
Several weeks ago, I decided to take my mom to Las Vegas for her birthday. This was so neat, because this was something I've never been able to do. We stayed at the Riviera and saw La Cage (she's never seen a drag show before), we had two great dinners there, and we went to the Star Trek Convention at the Hilton... cause she took me to my first Star Trek convention in 1977.
I know she worried about me and where I was going with my life for years. If you are doing well, no matter at what, I think your parents ultimately will appreciate it.

Heck, I told someone on this bord that he's FAT (actually I said "well, I thought you were smaller uh, less in size... uhm..." I meant shorter in body size *grin*) so you are OLD :D
My mom knows about my biz
P.S. Jasun, it was nice talking to you before you hit me in the car :D
haha. Moms are cool about a lot of things. In fact since she's been editing my stories, my mom now writes her own erotica. She doens't have anywhere really to post it and some of it is just Fanfiction. But she's found a happy release for all that energy ^_^:high:
Yes, my parents, friends, and other family for the most part all know. My dad loves it and asks for free samples and stuff (from the straight side of the biz.) And of course my gay friends all love it too... Several have admited they are very jealous!
Are you kidding?
the only thing I regret about telling my parents is that they didn't die on the spot. I coudln't WAIT to tell them.
the first thing my mother said was "You can get ARRESTED for that, Jasun".
I had to explain to her that porn isn't illegal and she kept saying "I hear all the time about people getting arrested for having porn on their comptuers" and I'm like "That's child porn, mom."
She has a little trouble sorting out the whole thing.
But then when I was the general manager of a video retail chain's flagship store in charge of a 30 person staff and a 2 million dollar inventory, she once said "It must be nice to just sit behind the cash register all day and lend out DVDs".
So it's not like she EVER had a grip on what it is that I do for a living.
