On the other hand, it's quite poetic that he went out the way he did, doing exactly what he loved best. The same happened with the Grizzly Bear guy who was mulled to death by one of the bears he spent so much time with. What was his name?

It's very sad, but it's also a reminder that life is short and that you have to live each day to its fullest. Steve chased his dreams and did exactly what he wanted to do. The fact that he died because of it is incidental. I bet he had a damn good laugh on the other side when he realized the irony of it all. :)

Very sad, he had such a love for all animals and had done SO much for them. I have never seen anyone so excited about animals that could kill you. I love the story about how his wife and him met. What a horrible way to go but I think Steve wouldn't of wanted it any other way.

The new reports are that he wanted people to see his death should he have been killed on film by one of the animals he worked with.
