Ahh, and I'm forgetting Lord of the Rings -- the movies spawned a crapload of real person slash fic about the actors. While the movies were in production and screening at theaters, that was a really enormous fandom. A lot of cross-writing in that fandom though as many writers wrote both character fic and actor fic. There's also, I think, quite a bit of real person slash fic about all the actors who work on the former WB since there's a lot of cross-show friendships.

There was actually a GREAT deal of Highlander Slash. Also Anime is the most popular forum of slash since they look all femme at times anyway.

I think there actually is a lot of XMen Slash, but it's not one of my fandoms so I'm not that familiar with it. I do know that Comics fandom has a ton of slash in it though, both for Marvel and DC
