Fire is cleansing. I feel as though it needs to go up in flames. I put a lot of pain and emotion into that painting. If i know that it exists somewhere, I will never be at peace.

Don't burn the painting, Rocky. If you can't bare to look at it, sell it, give it to someone who will appreciate it, but don't destroy it. Art should never be destroyed.

I decided to let him keep it with the agreement that I get it back on loan if I ever have a gallery show. I want him to look at it every day as a reminder of what he let slip through his fingers.
