For the Geezers, it isn't an inside joke. Just a childhood memory. :cowboy: In the late 50's the best you could do for TV on Sunday was football, or cowboy movies. So John Ritter was Tex Ritter's son, not the other way around. ;)

Funny, AMC runs cowboy movies most every Sunday. Must be a Geezer in program scheduling.
