I'm not at all convinced that anyone wants to see porn in HD. We are shooting it simply to acquire the footage in HD so that, at some point in the future when and if it does become in demand, we will already have a bunch of high quality footage. Everything we've shot so far in HD we are downsampling to SD for both web and DVD use.
It is amusing, though, to see a certain studio -- the same one that told AJ they were the largest twink producer in the industry when they aren't even in the top 30 -- who are promoting on their DVD covers "Shot in high-definition widescreen."
Not, of course, that anyone can actually *see* any of the hi-def they've shot (which isn't actually true hi-def anyway, it's HDV). That's sort of like talking about a song recorded in Dolby 6 channel Stereo and played on an AM radio.
