That's the problem, without a warranty they won't even look at it. I got the "shit out of luck" look from the guy at the store. Grr.

I saw a ton of services online but I've been burned before by doing business with an online company without any referrals, so I'm a bit sketchy.

What model ipod do you have?

its an 80GB video ipod, got it as a christmas pressie :)

I had to call them once with a problem with my i-pod the guy was talking to me like i was a kid that realy pissed me off! I had gotten the sirius radio R-50 for x-mass its awesome! As you are listening to a song press a button and it reacords it. The sound is so much better then the i-pods and the siruis radios are half price now.
Seems I use it more then the i-pod.

For podcasts both audio and video I use Instant Media

I got a Creative Zen Microphoto because my friend and I fell in love with Urge during my free trial and the minute I got the message it was over I signed up for an anual sub. I had to return a hard-drive based iRiver unit because it crashed the 2nd day I had it and the Zen was the largest flash capacity player at the store (Office Depot) that had PlaysForSure. I love the blue neon around the edge when the keypad is activated, now that's sexy:D. One big plus with the Zen is that the battery is user replacable.

the guy next door bought a Zen and it has broken twice in the last 3 months.
