It had some really interesting stats; you could actually tell how many people read the whole story and how many stopped after they had jerked off (assuming that's what they were doing while reading it). I could show you dozens upon dozens of emails I got (I saved a lot of them) from people who read my stories who said things like, "I never thought I would find a story of this caliber on a stroke fiction site." One guy -- a straight man -- read one of my stories about a gay man looking back on his high school experience, and he sent me an email about how profoundly the story had affected him, and that he was going to teach his kids to respect all gay people. Because of my PORN STORY.
I know from experience how people react to porn. They'll accept the stuff that everyone else is doing, but they'll be blown away by the stuff that goes beyond that. Trust me, there's a whole market out there that very few people are tapping into, b/cuz they just don't see the value in it b/cuz they dismiss porn as being "just sex." It's NEVER just sex, even when we might think it is. That's how I choose to look at it, b/cuz in doing that, I've already got myself thinking on a level that will inform what I create.
