I am ready to buy one- I just dont want to camp out overnight to get one. If i can walk in at 6:00 and they have plenty of stock, I will have mine in my dock by Friday night.
Call me bohemian, I suppose. I try to live a minimalist sort of lifestyle, for the most part. I wasn't knockin' the Iphone.. I was actually just trying to paint a clearer picture of the "Price of Cool" in that it wouldn't necessarily be a $6k investment over two years.
Besides.
-I- may not want one; but I won't put up any resistance if my beaux decides to nab one... Maybe I can get him to download pinpall or something onto it.
Too bad you cant download pinball. That is one of the big criticisms of the iPhone. No third party apps can be downloaded. Can only use web based pinball I guess.
Well.. blast. I'll just go to addictinggames.com then.
A list of things I found, when reading through some stuff -
Doesn't do/have
• Songs as Ringtones
• Any flash support
• Instant Messaging
• Picture messages (MMS)
• Video recording
• Voice recognition or voice dialing
• Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Streaming (A2DP)
• One-size-fits-all headset jack
• 3G (EV-DO/HSDPA)
• GPS
• A real keyboard
• Removable battery
• Expandable Storage
• Direct iTunes Music Store Access (Over Wi-Fi or EDGE)
And the Battery has around a 350 charge life.
I heard the iPhone doesn't have any SIM cards as well.
My guess is the want it to be AT&T exclusive, if not I'm missing the point as well. lol
Well, yeah. I think is supposed to be an AT&T exclusive.. but you'd think that with they connection to the intar-webs and such that they'd be able to make a way for the information to be stored via another means. Perhaps a customer website that uploads the numbers/contact information that's accessible from your IPhone.
But that's just me... I use my phone as an address book since I have a horrible time remembering my own phone number.. much less other people's.
Hmmm, my Razr plays the Cocteau Twins when my boyfriend calls, Smashing Pumpkins when my close friends call and a creepy dirge when my family calls... my friend and I frequently send pics to each other to amuse us during the work day, and if I get a new phone I can easily transfer the sim card.
I think I'll stick with my Razr. I don't need to be cool. :high:
