Longboard Jim hit on a part of this topic that I think a lot of people have missed, "Sometimes you just gotta have something to hold". My generation and older still require tangible gratification where as the "younger" generations that have spent their entire lives in the computer age are more inclined to desire something they can download and carry around. I believe there is a slight decline in DVD sales and that the decline will gradually continue. But for now and into the near future, there is and will remain the need for pretty boxed DVD's....... at least until the "X Generation" gets in their forties!
I'd like to think of it as an "investment" for the future , downloads will not "recover" my roof! :) ( interpreted: if it weren't for the fact that most studio/website/etc. "full length/director's cut/extended" movies are only available on DVD..err..that the better club mixes are only available on vinyl I wouldn't bother , this sh*t's heavy , and it takes up alot of space. :scared: )
