When I ran my Ebay business we shipped through PayPal (they actually interface through Pitney). For the most part, I like Priority Mail. I guess the package I mailed out was from a small post office and they just made a mistake in the del confirmation scan.
Parcel Post and Media Mail are a POS.

Why do you not get proof of delivery? Del confirmation is free with Priority Mail and Visa/MC feel comfortable enough that it is actually proof that it was delivered.
FedEx 2nd day is good. UPS ground I find to be good as far as the time goes and the tracking. I do AGREE that their "pickup" service and many times the dropoff locations can be a pain in the ass.
FedEx ground uses "contractors" to deliver. Good tracking, but it doesn't always come in a fedex truck. It maybe in the back of a contractors truck.
