Dean -- I'm not in disagreement on paying for what you order ... but look over the forum and you'll see he has posted a LOT of threads trying to sell domains, content and websites. Nobody's buying much of anything from anybody lately. As to GFY -- I play in the Buy and Sell forum and that's usually pretty much all I read over there. The general attitude over there is too mean and spiteful to linger over.Quote:

Come on guys, pay up. Don't hire unless you can put out the cash. We pay 50% up front, 50% after the work is completed. At least we can go to sleep at night knowing our guys are paid.
At least pay something and work out terms. I understand Lee's in financial trouble, we all are. In a situation like this, she'd be the first I would pay.

I will donate the first 10.00 lets all chip in and help LEE out so we can put this embarassing thread behind him and help out a family that needs help its the "Right" thing to do and at this point Im already down $9,300 with Epassporte 10.00 for a good cause is only a luxury item I didnt need this month anyways
I'll chip in $10 if at least 10 other people agree to help out as well.

Wow, okay. For some reason I am not getting any notifications of updates on this thread, I was nudged/informed by someone on icq about the new posts here, and I apologise for not showing up sooner.
Lee has completely ignored me despite the serious nature of not only the delinquent debt (I have been patiently waiting since March to get paid for that work I did), but even knowing how critical everything is right now with my brother, which is obviously so much worse, and I cannot fathom how someone can just blow another person off this way after knowing something like that (now for over a month).
So the first thing I want to address is that for these complete strangers to step up not just here but in private and comment/nod in my favour, to
show their support to me after all this time that I have felt so helpless on this and even cried on the complete lack of compassion from Lee Windsor, not even trying to privately contact me much less post here, is just, it means so much to me that these other people who don't know me would
say hey, we give a shit about this, and then on top of that, to further take action on their own to motivate Lee to make good on his debt, is just, so beyond what I am probably capable of expressing, BUT THEN EVEN FURTHER, to try to put money together on Lee's behalf to get this debt covered, is really moving and incredible and really helps me have faith in people again.
I sat here completely dumbfounded for a few long moments trying to not fall apart at how good it feels to know there are kind people out there , kind and BRAVE people.
You guys, I am so fucking sincerely grateful to you for publicly doing this , for letting me know that people care, it's just.. *exhales* ..it's really good to have people show support, and couldn't have come at a better time.
I drove back this morning from Austin after spending a few days with my little brother and it's hard to be a trooper and shit, but I have been doing my best. For him.
And that is why I want to say that the next important thing to address is that, yes, my family needs help in trying to make it count for my brother, but, you guys, this debt that Lee owes to me, it is not your responsibility.
This is money that I EARNED for doing work FOR LEE, and I feel very weird about you guys pulling together to throw in money to COVER his debt, when it is not your responsibility and you wonderful and caring people should not feeling guilty about this, as I did not come on here to make things awkward, to make people feel guilty, or anything like that, just to get Lee to not ignore me because he kept ignoring me for months before.
Lee is the person that had made this awkward and embarassing.
All the wonderful people that have contacted me on icq to tell me they are supportive of my intentions here and you people who are bravely posting and keeping this thread alive, and your willingness to take a few minutes to let me know you are rooting for me to get paid and to express your heartfelt wishes for my brother's last days being as best as possible mean more to me than I can properly express and I just got off the phone with my brother, I told my brother about each and every one of you and he wanted me to tell you guys that did that, that he appreciates your sentiments, your kindess and your positive energy and that it means a lot to him that total strangers would do that.
BUT, to throw money together to cover Lee's debt, is not something I expected nor feel comfortable with. None of you owes me anything.
It's Lee that needs to man up, and not be enabled to continue this type of behaviour and not take advantage of other people's kindness (YA'LLS OR MINE).
He could have easily fixed this situation, at anytime between now and back in March, but refuses to to.
He hasn't even come on here and apologised. Or in private.
The only thing I have got from him AT ALL has been his post here:

I don't get if it's that he just does not give a shit about his reputation, or he is just that ignorant, but I have to tell you guys,

So, you guys, all of you that are wanting to pitch in to cover this debt, I just, I don't know what to say.
On the one hand, I am so grateful that you would do that, but on the other hand, I didn't earn this money from you guys. I earned it from this

and I am incredibly grateful that you would be brave and show support and be WILLING to pitch in, but, I just feel like, Lee should be on here trying
to at least sound like a halfway decent person.
We all know that Lee cannot expect anyone to believe he didn't have 200 dollars to not just pay HIS delinquent debt thats half a year old,
but pay one that will DIRECTLY IMPACT the quality of life for a terminally ill person.
Instead, he gets on here and acts as if he is defending himself AGAINST someone who is so inconsiderately and abberantly trying to collect money he's owed me for 6 months and for wanting to use that money to help my brother who is DYING.
I know some of you are going to tell me to just get over it and just take the money, but , its the principle of the matter.
I would feel so terrible to take money from people that I didn't do any work for.
Unlike Lee, I have some humility and honour and it flips my stomach to expose myself like this but you guys have to know that you have really affected me today by showing your support and I thank you for doing so, because that is priceless.
I do understand that you want Lee's debt to just be paid and over with, and I respect what you guys are trying to do for both Lee and myself,
but, please consider what I said above because this is YOUR MONEY, not Lee's , YOU EARNED your money, and know that I just want to be paid for what I earned, too. I'd feel a lot better about doing work to earn your moneys, and I have no problem taking small projects on to EARN this money..
but if you do not have any work available for me and you still want to make a donation, I hope you will consider making it to my brother instead of me...
I guess I am going to close this with the question, do you guys still want to help COVER Lee's debt (in which case Lee will owe a lot of people some gratitude and favours, and I hope you actually ever get that)

Its not a ton of money to put a dent in the medical bills, but it would really help. Or, maybe my brother could use the money to go on a weekend fishing trip somewhere and just enjoy some life that he has left.
I dont think i'll ever see that money given to me BY Lee.
I would like to ask if you guys would instead like to each make individual donations to my brother (outside of this business with Lee and I) and have your donations go straight into his account, not mine. I only have a business paypal account.
And that way, if somehow Lee ever decides to reconsider his attitude and show some decency, I will be more than happy to come back here and make sure EVERYONE does know that he has made good with me. Because I do want people to know if he makes good, that's the decent thing to do.
Despite all of this, I genuinely hope that Lee never has to be in the situation i am in , the position of being owed money and being denied that money that could help the person you love the most.

Seriously, those of us who are contributing are doing so for your brother's sake. And yours and ours -- this whole issue is something of a distraction on these forums and no one is benefiting from it, least of all you.
Please don't tell us this is a private matter between you and Lee, because it isn't. It ceased to be private when you posted on the forums. If you choose not to accept our help then we understand. But whatever embarrassment you wanted Lee to suffer for this issue being made public has been done.
At this point some of us would like to make a contribution towards paying off Lee's debt to you. If Lee wants to make good on the $200 and repay us in the future, that's between us and him. But for the sake of everyone involved (especially your brother), we'd like to settle at least part of this debt.
So tell us your PayPal address or somesuch and those of us who want to make contributions will do so.

You've made some of this public, and the public is responding. So allow us to help or walk away from this thread and let the rest of us get on with business. That's really the only 2 options. Getting Lee to respond to you about us helping isn't one of them.
Actually I think she has free reign to say what she wants about Lee. You just said yourself that you were pissed over $15 in epass that you couldn't have, I imagine you would be pretty pissed off if you were owed $200 for some design work from Lee.Quote:
