http://awstats.sourceforge.net/ is pretty good, but I also like webalizer quite a bit. I think webalizer works best after you customise the stats by tweaking the setup file, you can get all the options off their website. I think the basic 50 referers is useless, especially when they are all your domain. Try using the option to not display stats for your own domain plus set the option to allow you to see all referers.

I will look into that more... it did seem redundant somehow to add a program like awstat when webalizer is already installed.
