should i go to a bath house

One of these days, I may actually write a book about the baths - the different places, how they have their own distinctions, the people you meet. The different people who are "regulars" - socializing in those places. Then there are the non-verbal communications. All the taboos. I have always found it very interesting.

Austin has a Midtowne Spa, which is kind of crummy - hit or miss.... flip of a coin. Texas has a number of baths, all of which are distictly different. My favorite is in San Antonio, which can be totaly wild.

For me, I think of the place like Cheers:

Where everyone knows your name. And where everyone is glad that you came.

Baths are great, if they are your style. Prowling the baths/sexclubs is a situation that some really get into, and other do not at all. For example, if you are looking for sex, but have tired of the bar game of standing around, or buying drinks for someone who will eventually dissapear anyways -- then here is a solution. Well there are a lot of movies that are set in the sexclub setting. Steven Scarborough's movies from Hot House Studios are all very good on this subject.

A good movie that springs to mind is last year's Hot House's Resurrection

That movie may be on the edgier side for some viewers, but its good.

The Brazilians and the Czechs frequently plot their movies around saunas and bathhouses. A really good Czech movie that came out last year is Bronco Studio's The Sauna.

Now to clarify - I don't write reviews of specific sexclubs. I just enjoy writing about movies which include them. One of the jillions of ideas that I've had for a site would be an actual bathhouse / sexclub review site. So many ideas - so little time. One of my issues that I have delt with all my life is focus. We'll see....
