Unforunately, I didn't even notice that myself and we are a customer or Rocky's. I agree that is wrong. My customers are not yours and you have no business selling anything to them without my knowledge or consent.
I can say this because at BoyContent.com we do manage and resell content feeds - BoyzFoto and CitiBoyzTheatre. We would never do this to any of our customers.
First things first:
1) Free membership: That was an oversigt on my part. I had been wanting to collect emaila ddresses but never followed thru on it. I am giving out a free membership to a random chatter as a result, whther they voted or not.
2) The hotel site is not stealing traffic. I made an arrangement with them to put the banner up on our members area in trade for allowing us to use their facilities to film our new dvd. They have bent over backwars for us and I am repaying them in a small but effectual way. The ad was put up yesterday and has not yet been removed from the plug-in product yet.
So, Dale, thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Not sure.. I just fixed the problem, though. It was a total oversight on my part. I'm sorry if it caused any trouble. The pop-up is supposed to be inmy member's areas, only, and not in the plug-in feeds. I don't regularly check the plug-ins, so I was unaware that it was still up until it was pointed out today. My apologies.

Weird that someone would sell a leased product like live feeds and not atleast check them once per week. Even if it is just to check to make sure things are working correctly....

thanx for fixing it rocky, im sure the customers are glad. i didnt realize your paysite shares the exact code that your feed does. definitely can see how the popup would slip into the feed tho.
i've been using NikKay's feeds - and you know what i like about 'em? the entire page is generated from your own code. if you want an upsell, you create exactly what you want. their own page code doesn't come into it at all.
you can do the same thing with hostedcotent.com but their gay selection isn't all that, and their template system is not anywhere near as easy to figure out.
with some of the bs happening with plugins, ya gotta appreciate that kinda thing.
anyone know any more plugins that use your own headers and footers and colors?

Not all webmasters give permanent access to their sites in order for me to check their plug-ins once a week, or even a month. Generally, if there is a problem, the members of the pay-site licensing the feeds will complain to the webmaster, who then complain to me. That's when I fix the problem. Since this problem was never reported to me by any webmaster until just tonight (and not even reported to me directly), I had no idea the problem existed. Once I found out about it, I fixed it. I have a company to run, and my top priority is not to check on the plug-in sites and micromanage the performance on my clients plug-ins. If there is a problem, or if there is something that is causing an issue, then they will let me know about it, and I will fix it.
Thank you for the suggestion, but I have my own way of running things and, despite a glitch here or there (such as this incident), it seems to be working fine.

How true sites seem to forget the passwords. Although, I am pretty familure with your work on making plug ins. ;)

im not 100% sure its up to site owners to police their feeds every waking minute of every day in order to stay on top of any problems that may develop.Quote:
