Are the Bel Ami Boys coming for sure? Man they were so hot and so nice last year. Definetly wasn't expecting them to be so nice. I was thinking they would be alot more stuckup but since they were so nice makes me even like them more. :)

I do agree that models can be a bit distracting. Although, with loud music at the clubs and other venues it's almost impossible to get a lot of networking done anyway.

However, QFEST is the day before the show - January 3rd, many people just wanna hang, gear up for the show, meet people they haven't seen since the last show and most importly - they just want to have a fabulous time before the 'work' begins. Not to mention it's a photoshoot party so a lot people come to to be distracted :)

Personally, I think that a good many people who attend these shows are much more distracted with the alcohol than any cock waving in their face ever would. The end of happy hour should not mean the end of your senses folks. Try to stay coherent or at best sober till at least 9:00?

I know Chris and I went to your event last year and it was great we got a lot of business done and built some great friendships while the less serious attendees were busy watching the models.

The fact that you can alays tell the serious webmasters from the freeloaders at events that do provide 'talent' is one of, if not THE biggest benefit of having models turning up to parties etc.

Hell, in Florida when Silvercash had thier bikini contest, it was EXTREMELY apparent who was there to do business and who was there to perve at the naked chicks.

That's essentially it in a nutshell.

Model or no model, booze or no booze, small shiney object or no small shiney object, people who are there to get work done will get work done. Those that are there to get wasted the night before it starts and not sober up until sometime after returning home will do it regardless of what's around.

The plan is to have them there for sure, yes. It still does depend somewhat on visa stuff at this point, though.

We've always brought cute bois to the shows... though my business partner qualifies as one of our cute bois (he's on boyfunk) and he's more of a schmoozer/dealmaker than I am :)

We've found that the guys wandering around the show floor and parties provide great brand identity for us, and they're good at getting the word out about our affiliate programs and generating interest in general in our products and services...
and we strongly encourage them to stay circulating and talk to people rather than to hang on the sideline and get drunk.

And most of our guys are also pretty intelligent and know our products reasonably well, so they can actually carry on a sensible conversation with anyone who asks them about what we do... so we consider it an extension of our regular networking.

(Plus, we're also shooting content for a DVD while we're in Vegas... so they'll be busy doing that at least part of the time...)

I don't have many, but there's one somewhere around... I'll try to find and post it... but we prolly did meet at Phoenix Forum. My former partner Ryan is Elijah on Boyfunk.com and he was there at both Internexts and Phoenix Forum in 2004, so if you recognize him, you prolly met me too...
