Yes that was originally on the site as it was an oversight on our part (we were not aware at the time that ManSites were holding your after hour events), Patrick did call us to let us know about the error and i beleive it was corrected within a few minutes so that the Gay Webmaster Bash events, and those being held by yourselves were not in direct competition with each other, there is no point in splitting an already well divided market even further, it benefits nobody.

Well so far as the Gay Webmaster Bash events themselves go, we are throwing them in their entirity. As for not mentioning the Phoenix Forum, it actually states on the first line of the Event Details page that we are holding events AT the Phoenix Forum itself and we even link directly to the official Phoenix Forum website.

Well in all honesty, that isnt our intention at all, Patrick and Sherri are well aware that we offer them as much support as possible in making sure the Phoenix Forum events dont end up like most other tradeshows and that EVERYONE knows they are welcome at any of the events held by the sponsors, gay or straight.

However, at the same time, much the same as you wouldnt put effort into promoting something that wasnt yours entirely, it is bad business practice for us to do the same as i am sure you will agree.

In the past, we have given CCBill and The Phoenix Forum a lot of exposure not only on GWW but also on our entire resource network to ensure the events had every success that they rightly deserve as the premier networking event of the adult industry.

We have been marketing the Gay Webmaster Bash events in Phoenix just as we marketed the Gay Webmaster Bash events in Las Vegas of which CCBill were a sponsor and im sure if Patrick, Sherri or any of the good folks at CCBill had any issues with our site they would let me know directly by email, icq or phone.

Our only concern about the Phoenix Forum and specifically the sponsored events is that they DONT turn into the charade of political games like so many other shows and events have turned into over the years and again, i am sure you will agree with me that if that does become the case, the events and the Forum itself, for the attendees will be less enjoyable all round.

I know you and Dwayne dont play the politics associated with certain segments of the adult industry and, i would hope that you are aware that both Gary and I dont play those games either, we want to work with any company, gay or straight as i am sure yourselves do.

Whilst i do appreciate some companies do not feel the same way that we do, i certainly wont be held accountable for the politics that they play in order to better themselves or their 'cliques'.

Im looking forward to seeing you guys again in Phoenix and i have no doubt that your after hour events this year will be as well received as they have been for the last 2 years i have been going to the Forum.

I have to say though, im a little surprised that something which should be helping bring webmasters together seems to have started heading the way of the AVN shows, there is room for all of us to hold our own events without the need to start fighting amongst ourselves as happens all to often at other industry tradeshows and gatherings.

What i would truely like to see happen in Phoenix (or any of the other shows) at some point however, is one series of events held and sponsored by everybody, equally irrespective of gender, sexual preference or, how much money we spend as event sponsors, it would certainly be a refreshing change from the 'norm'.

I can't find anything that says Phoenix Forum

Did you ask CCBill anything, or was this your own idea? That is what it looks like. When you say we should work together I agree, but I feel no effort was made on your part to include anyone, rather the assumptive approach was used that you were going to do what you wanted. If you read your site, I think you will see why I take offense, and why I received so many calls asking what was going on.

The worst call I received was from our owner, asking if we are in fact one of the premier sponsors, and if so, why does it sound like you are throwing all of the parties? From the number of companies calling you on this, I think you will admit, that the ad is at the very least "misleading"

As for the "politics" statement, I believe that is antiquated and that all the companies are moving to work together.

Maybe this was just an overzealous ad, maybe no offense was intended, but when we saw this, and the original ad with after hour parties listed, what else where we to think?

So let's move on, but be clear, that I feel you overstepped your announcement in a big way.

We simply want to be able to spend our resources and be able to invite our guests without them wondering who is throwing the particular party.

Yeh you might have Phoenix forum listed somewhere on your site burried in some links. However just on the front page when you announce the event, you give the credit to the event to "Arizona". Surely you could have put something about the Phoenix Forum and CCBill there. :) It's really misleading.

We did ask Craig however, at the time of asking (Late November 2004) Patrick told me he wasnt aware of any plans being made at that time, after he had spoken to you and you had made him aware you were going to be holding your after hour suites, our plans changed, out of profesional courtesy to you guys. As i mentioned above, we didnt want any of the Gay Webmaster Bash events to coincide with any of your events or, those being held by other companies, gay or straight. It just isnt beneficial to anyone to split the industry even more than it already has been.

Again, i have been speaking to Patrick and Sherri on and off since November 2004 about the Gay Webmaster bash events, we have all been working on scheduling and locations and I have even changed times that were favorable so as to not directly compete with other events happening, im sure Pat or Sherri can substantiate these facts.

I did have specific plans for what we, as a company, wanted to acheive this year at the Phoenix Forum and, depsite having to change our orginal plans out of courtesy for the other event planners, as a company we can still acheive our marketing goals, just as the other event sponsors can acheive theirs.

Well, without meaning to sound like an asshole (which i probably will end up doing but genuinly do not mean to) i can hardly be held accountable for your company owner going to OUR site instead of the Phoenix Forum site.

It sounds like we are throwing the parties and events on the Gay Webmaster Bash site because, we are, as part of the Gay Webmaster bash events, just like we did in Vegas, just as we will be doing in Florida.

Oh i agree, as do we, we want to make sure the sponsors for the Gay Webmaster Bash events get the proper recognition just as much as you want to ensure the sponsors of your after hour suites get the recognition they deserve also. The problem, as I see it, has only arisen because certain individuals felt the need to prove they had a bigger dick, just as they did with our events that we hosted for our sponsors in Las Vegas.

How is it misleading? Phoenix IS in Arizona.

I have already stated in a previous post that my business doesnt involve the promotion of the Phoenix Forum despite heavily promoting the event in the past, my business, at this moment in time, is branding the Gay Webmaster Bash name and, it seems to be working.. well.

I think these supposed political divisions are more prominent in the perceptions of those who wish to see them there than they are in reality.

I know I certainly must not be the only person who has attended any number of parties held by any number of sponsors and hosted by any number of companies at various shows without ever feeling like attendance meant playing in to anyone's political agenda.

I enjoyed the Bedfellow and Cybersocket events in Phoenix last year just as I have every time I've attended them in Phx or at Internext. I enjoyed the GWW events in Vegas and am looking forward to the events held in Phx. The Mansites afterhours suite in Phx last year was the highlight of the entire weekend for me when it came to getting business done as well as having fun.

I know I'm not alone in that sentiment. And I know I'm not the only one who has appreciated the hospitality of various hosts and sponsors at any event I've been fortunate enough to attend.

So I don't think it fair to assume that anyone who has an agenda different from ones own has to be acting out of politics. And I also don't think it's fair to assign politics as their motivation or make it a case of anyone who is up to something else is doing it out of malicious intent alone.

CCBill and the sponsors of the Phx Forum and surrounding events go out of their way to make it an amazing weekend infinitely valuable to those in attendance. Various companies over the years have been supportive in that effort. I'm not quite seeing the politics here.

I see lots of business going on. And when it comes to ponying up the dough to host or sponsor an event it makes a lotta sense that business concerns come in to play. But not politics. And I don't think it fair to confuse business for politics because someone pursuing business interests is only doing what we're all doing. Business.

so let me see if i have this straight then. you're not promoting the phoenix forum, but you're holding your gaywebmaster bash onsite at the same hotel that the phoenix forum is being held at.

furthermore, you're not interested in the politics of avn and their shows but you're holding your gaywebmaster bash in las veags and in miami at the same times as the internext shows are held at.

is your business model then to follow already successful shows around the country and not support or promote them but rather conduct your own parties at the events by captializing on the traffic that these events have established without giving credit to the event that brought the webmasters together in the first place?

Yes. As a sponsor of the Phoenix Forum we are holding the Gay Webmaster Bash events on site, just like, as a sponsor of the Phoenix Forum you are holding your events on-site.

No my business model is to offer the show organizers support by means of sponsorship as we did in Vegas and, as we are doing in Phoenix and as we will be doing in Hollywood and throwing our own events at the shows, just as every other company before us has done and no doubt, will continue to do, including yourselves.

The Phoenix 2004 Gay Webmaster bash was, in fact called that and was sponsored by TopBucks, AEBN and Stud Money iin their entirity, all three of us worked together extremely closly to pull the event off with great success and, that is what we did.

Again with the connotations that the Phoenix Gay Webmaster Bash events arent sanctioned by CCBill or The Phoenix Forum, just to clarify Karl, they are, we have every right to throw as many or as few events as we want, being sponsors of the Phoenix Forum.
