Howdy, sexsells101 . . nice start up at Gay Sex Illustrated!! Good luck in the future growth of your holdings. 'n don't go way upset. Stick around, it's usually a fun and informative place.
Umm. . . folks, ya never heard of loss leaders?? sexsells101 gave the host's information in his/her 2nd post. It's an operation that's been around since '98. Go there and you'll find it quite easy to understand the 'el cheapo' offer this hosting company made via EBAY. They only got a few takers (check the EBAY buyer history) which I'd bet their marketing man/woman felt would happen. I'd also bet related expenses are being treated as a 'cost of promotion' write off. They've got reasonable standard prices and do allow adult content - - and got their name mentioned here!

creative marketing
Hey BassChick -- You're doing fine, I appreciated your concern that it might be a rip-off. I thought it sounded like a good enough deal to try it with a very minimal investment.
I guess I'll deal with any shutdowns if and when they happen. So far they're serving up my (one)page without a problem. I'm going to submit some galleries to TGPs soon, maybe then the bandwith will be a problem.
Perhaps this guy has a whole lot of extra server space that's just sitting there, and figures a lot of people will buy it and then won't ever use much. I've heard alot of hosting companies are hurting, and prices have dropped. Not so? We all get a few fortuitous "deals" in life, so I don't see any reason to question this guy's motives.
To all of you -- We kind of got away from the subject of creative marketing on the gay internet.
Wouldn't it be interesting to see if a well intentioned webmaster can still figure out how to make a few bucks doing what he likes?
Any recommendations on the best AvS or Sponsors that really make them money?
How about gay friendly TGPs to work with?
How are online movie sites like NakedSword doing for you?
Any other great webmaster discussion groups like this one? The **** **** censorings are hilarious! Keep up the good work, whoever you are.
I'm also interested in doing an opt-in mailing scheme(legally) and am looking for a service that's adult friendly and reasonably priced (like my hosting deal!). I plan on doing a weekly newsletter type thing that brings visitors back. The ones I've looked into don't want any adult content or profanity, and I'm sure you all know how profane the subject of gay sex can be.
Again, thanks for the help.
Jonjayw... Thanks for the encouragement. You rock!
