There are so many combinations on how it could work. My ex and I were together over 5 years and my boy came along about 2 1/2 years into it so a partner that is female, isn't the only solution.
I just feel at 33 I want to get on with the family. To make a family since I don't have one etc. etc. Tired of waiting for things to fall in place and time to make them happen. You know what I mean?
the only thing I missed being a gay guy is haveing a kid!
There are too many people on this planet and we're already starting to implode. Cancer and AIDS and everything else we've got going is nature's way of saying, "There are too many of you." We don't think of the earth as a closed environment because it's so vast, but it is a closed environment. There's nowhere else for us to go.
The best think the Chinese and Indian governments could do is to start legitimizing and legalizing homosexuality. I know of so many gay Chinese guys who are forced through family pressure into getting married and having kids, all the while, they're unhappy and sucking dick on the side.
And I think that more of us over here should start thinking about adopting some of those baby girls that are discarded because China's one-baby-family rule.
I don't understand the need to propogate. And when I see parents deprived of sleep, with vomit all over these t-shirts, and dragging screaming brats around, or when I see some dirty foul-mouthed teenager cussing me out because I didn't give them a quarter as I passed them on the street, I understand it even less.

That's a great post and you make a lot of really good points.
There have been plagues & disease since life began on earth. Bacteria, microbes & viruses attack single celled organism, just as they attack Plants, mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, etc. Metals have disease (rust, corrosion). Over time rocks turn to sand, rivers to streams and mountains to hills. Is that natures way of saying there's to many of them? The battle for survival isn't exclusive only to mankind, it exists it anything that is. Don't take it personally :high:Quote:

If I could adopt children at a reasonable cost I would without a doubt. The village I'm involved with in Angeles, Philippines is full of my "adopted kids" I guessQuote:

It's amazing how just a little bit can change a persons life there.

If they made it easyer for a gay guy, or gay couple to adopt a kid, there would be some many fewer kids looking for a good home.
At the moment, the earth is a closed-environment because we have nowhere else to go. I'm not saying there aren't possibilities. When I talked about this issue I was mainly thinking back to high-school biology when they discussed experiments where they put a pair of breeding rats in a closed environment to see what happened. And always, there's a point where they reach over population and the environment and its resources can't support the population, and that's when the disease sets in to kill of many to save a few (and the species). I recall reading similar things with fruit flies and white-tailed deer.
And yes, it's a shame – a crime really – that governments prevent gay men and women from adopting children and giving them (in many cases) a better life.
Cheers

I'm very paternal with my friends, but I can't see me ever having kids. I'm too much of a perv. I have stuff from work, leather stuff, music I do for adult films, I mean my whole apartment is X-rated. LOL!!! I would not be able to do away with my open sexuality the way one would need to for having kids around. I'll leave that to the people who are good at it. :)
HAHAHA
yeah, we do have an x-rated apartment, don't we?
LOL yeah that is a drawback! I'm the most G rated pornographer you'll ever meet. No mags or anything here. All my stuff is on the computer and that's all secure.Quote:

Hey Squirt,
I'll definitely be having kids in the next 5 years or so and am definitely looking forward to it!
I however won't encounter the problems you face as my girlfriend will definitely oblige.
Sad to think that you have to go to so much trouble to have kids when I could turn around tomorrow and do just that without a second thought from anyone.
All the same - good on you, it's not everyone who can provide a loving home for someone the way you do!
Cheers,
Allan
