Really wonderful responses!
I only post on 2 boards (one I'm the Mod on) and this one, so, to me this board means alot. I like just about everyone here...no, actually, I can say I like everyone here!
For me, since I'm not 100% in the "adult" biz anymore (though, I used to be) I'm leaving it now (going mainstream). I've very little to offer anyone new or whatever (besides, I've become tainted...lol).
But, since I've been in the "adult" industry for a long, long time, I'll always be around (usually faceless...i.e. no Vegas or FL, since I have too many other huge things on my plate...not to mention we've been building a house for the past 3+ years and I'm doing it all myself...damn, I had to put that in there because I want kudos! LOL
Aanyway, Dzinerbear you made some great points about posting times...I know from being a mod that depending on the "day" or "time of day" has much to do with everything.
Actually, everyone had some really great feedback. I'm glad it got alot of interest.
I wasn't actually speaking of "one" person that felt sorta "left out". I was thinking more that I've just sat and watched, read and noticed some people that seemed to want to be "a part" of this group, post and try but, they never came back.
I've known or met a few good newbies that are starting gay sites and are looking for info. I always send them here.
The ones that actually check out the board here maybe do get intimidated. Point being, maybe it has all to do with being a very "professional" board and that scares them (newbs) off...I duno, but, I'll sure ask in the future!
Cheers,
Len (Bo)

There isn't much I can add ... every point I'd of made has been mentioned! It takes time and a sincere effort to become involved on ANY board, not just GWW. And that applies to mainstream boards as well.
While it does seem intimidating to come to an established board where everyone seems to know everyone else, the fact of the matter is that everyone of us was NEW once as well! Only by posting and contributing does one become a familiar face in these parts. :coffee:

I don't post often anymore, (due to my own personal life becoming hell in a basket, not because of anyone here), but this brings up a good point. Why not have a newbie board?
As my grandmother would say, (rest her in peace), "You want to make it, you have to be willing to get your feet wet. If your boat sinks, you'd better be able to swim."
If we had a newbie board, would we be doing the "newbs" a disservice by placing them in a "you're new, so you have no idea how to work the board, here's a wading pool for you" type of atmosphere? Sorry if I sound rude there, but almost every "newbie board" I've ever been to with the exception of one has made me feel this way.
By designating that particular place for the newbies we feel better because we've provided a place for those who don't know how to work a board or work their way around the adult industry, but then how does one know when he or she no longer fits the newbie mold? I'm all for helping people, don't get me wrong, but no one held my hand and walked me through everything, and I'm actually glad they didn't.
Could it be that we are all still newbies? No one knows it all, and no one will ever know it all. In many ways, we'll all be newbies forever. "Each man is ignorant, it is the subject which differs."
I need coffee. Sorry for the meandering thought pattern and run on sentences.
